Board of Directors

TIBI’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Texas International Bible Institute is blessed with a wonderful group of leaders on our board. Current board members include Lindsay Gibbons, Randy King, Greg and Jamie Lemon, Alan Mashburn,  Flo Mata, Dick Nill, Lanny Partain and Gustavo and Micaela Villanueva.

These people represent various congregations in Texas, largely from Houston and Abilene. Some are elders, deacons, or ministry leaders. They come from all walks of life, providing the TIBI with the expertise we need to begin and maintain a quality organization. Please pray that God will direct them as they help set the goals, policies, and direction of the school.

Lindsay Gibbons is an elder from the Southeast Church of Christ in Friendswood, Texas. He has a long-time interest in missions, and is the missions coordinator for Southeast. He came on the board in early 2008. We are glad to have him.

Randy King is from the Southeast church of Christ in the Clear Lake area. He is a lawyer who brings his expertise in the legal issues related to beginning and maintaining the school–contracts, leases, and other things. He also is involved in fund raising, and is currently serving as president of the board.

Greg and Jamie Lemon joined our board in 2017.  Greg serves as the head of the missions committee at the Kingwood Church of Christ. Greg and Jamie have been involved in missions for many years, and we are grateful to have access to their experience and insights.

Alan Mashburn is an accountant who from the beginning has counseled us on financial and legal matters related, including helping us obtain our 501(c)3 status as a nonprofit. He also has served as treasurer during the first several years.

Flo Mata is a man with wonderful experience in business and technology. He has worked in the Woodland Oaks congregation, and participated in other ministries such as the Impact Youth Development Center in Houston, Texas.

Gustavo and Micaela Villanueva are members of the University church of Christ in Abilene, TX, where they help lead the bilingual ministry.  Both are fully involved in mission projects of all kinds, and Gustavo is also an elder of the church.  He brings his academic experience as an experienced school principal and administrator in the Abilene ISD, which will help TIBI with its academic goals and programs.  Micaela has a tremendous passion for evangelism and the love of God for everyone.

Dick Nill worships at the Southeast Church of Christ in Friendswood. Upon retirement he learned Spanish as a hobby and has even taken some classes from TIBI for practice! He joined the board in summer of 2017, and we are thankful for his passion for TIBI, missions and his love of the Spanish-speaking world.

Lanny Partain works with Sunset International Bible Institute as a teacher, also managing their international website. He was helpful in giving us ideas as we launched he school, in various areas. He is an elder from the Southeast congregation.
