TIBI’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Texas International Bible Institute is blessed with a wonderful group of leaders on our board. Current board members include Randy King, Greg and Jamie Lemon, Alan Mashburn, Flo Mata, Dick Nill, Gustavo and Micaela Villanueva, Paul Gidden, and Lewis Norman.
These people represent various congregations in Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado. Some are elders, deacons, or ministry leaders. They come from all walks of life, providing the TIBI with the expertise we need to begin and maintain a quality organization. Please pray that God will direct them as they help set the goals, policies, and direction of the school.
Randy King is from the Southeast church of Christ in the Clear Lake area. He is a lawyer who brings his expertise in the legal issues related to beginning and maintaining the school–contracts, leases, and other things. He also is involved in fund raising.
Alan Mashburn is an accountant who from the beginning has counseled us on financial and legal matters related, including helping us obtain our 501(c)3 status as a nonprofit. He also has served as treasurer during the first several years.
Flo Mata is a man with wonderful experience in business and technology. He has worked in the Woodland Oaks congregation, as well as his current congregation in Colorado Springs, and participated in other ministries such as the Impact Youth Development Center in Houston, Texas.
Gustavo and Micaela Villanueva are from Abilene, TX, where they help lead the bilingual ministry. Both have been fully involved in mission projects of all kinds, not only in the local church but also in other countries of Latin America. Gustavo is currently the assistant superintendent of AISD, and Micaela works in the school district.
Lewis Norman serves as the head of the missions’ committee at the Chisholm Trail Church of Christ, in Duncan, Oklahoma, where he has been a member for many years. Lewis holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry and has done postdoctoral fellowship work at Rice University. He worked at Halliburton for almost 40 years and since retiring, does consulting work. He is passionate about missions and loves the Lord from a humble heart.
Paul Gidden is a member of the Woodland Oaks church of Christ in The Woodlands, TX. He has been a deacon there and part of the missions committee for many years, with a passion for reaching those who do not know Jesus. He brings his professional experience and skills in technology to the institute. We are glad to have him!
